Content Specialist/Reporter/Associate
Editor
The right candidate will assist in the development and implementation of
content on the website. They will be involved with integrating work of writers
and designers to produce a final layout compatible with the AthleticPress.com
corporate standards. This position will require researching a variety of news
stories as well as writing their own through interviews, observation and
library and/or online resources. They will determine the tone of each story as
well as work with the photographers and news editors to effectively plans and
prepare stories for online dissemination. They will write, proofread, and edit
copy brochures/print and other forms of documents. They may assist in
estimating production costs, overseeing work done by external suppliers, and
preparation of the marketing program. The right candidate will work with the
editing team to help prepare page layouts to position and space articles and
illustrations, and work to coordinate the preparation of company publications,
including articles, confirming artwork, verifying facts, etc. Implements and
maintains editorial policies and standards.
Photographer
The right candidate will work to create and prepares photographic images to
display for online purposes. They will select and assemble their own equipment
according to subject material, anticipated conditions, and knowledge of
function of various types of cameras, lenses, films, and accessories. Views
subject and setting and plans composition, camera position, and camera angle
to produce desired effect. This position will require attending sporting
events and working together with reporters, content specialists, and the
editors.
